Tied up some new streamers

Hey guys,

I havent had much luck out there in the streams or reservoirs.  I have been spending some free time tying some flies.  I am glad I have gotten back into tying.  It is very rewarding tying up your own flies.

Golden retrievers----white and tan. Wanted to make some orange ones but ran out of time. This is a highly productive pattern.  This is one of my go to streamer patterns.  I even had multiple carp take the white retriever.

Hook: 3X, size 10, TMC streamer hook
Tan or white marabou
Red nylon thread
5/32 red or gold bead
Lead wire
Tan or white/pearl chenille

  1. John, nice work at the vise. Given the rain, I've done more tying than fishing lately. I like your streamers here. The color up front gives a hotspot/target for the fish - maybe fewer short strikes nipping at the tail. Good luck with them. I love streamer fishing when it's do-able. As always, tight lines - Tom
